Wow! What a busy start to the year we have had celebrating our rich and diverse cultures through Waitangi Day, Chinese New Year and Brazilian Carnaval. Thank you to staff and families for your contributions which help us create wonderful experiences for the children🙌

This week the Bauer St staff were honoured to be joined by Ebony's family and close friends to place a permanent memorial plaque on our park bench for Ebony. Ebony positively influenced the lives of many children during her time at Bauer St and will be remembered particularly for her sense of humour and a love of culture and nature. Happy Heavenly Birthday Miss Ebony 💜💚

The children and educators had a fun 'Christmas Week' last week with a different activity planned for each day. We had 'Bedlam in the Elves' Workshop, stories with Mrs Claus, Smartie Pants the Elf, and Santa, culminating in our traditional children's Christmas party lunch on Friday.

Congratulations to our graduating class of 2025! We had a lovely night celebrating together. One of the highlights was our beautiful art fundraiser. The parents were able to purchase paintings the children had created, with the money raised going to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation in honour of Miss Ebony. Thank you to the staff, families and children for their support this year 🎓

The Pre-Prep class recently participated in first aid training with Cool Kids First Aid. This was beneficial for the children who learnt about emergency services and some basic first aid training. The children were so excited to use their special app to practice calling 000 just in case an emergency arises. We know we are in safe hands with our Pre-Prep friends 🚓🚑🚒

What a treat it was to have Flora the Explorer visiting our Pre-Prep and Senior Kindy classes on Monday 👏
In this STEM inspired show Flora took a journey through night and day, finding many different creatures along the way! The children learnt about Amphibians, Birds, Fish, Reptiles and Mammals. Thanks for joining us, Flora! 🐸🐦🪱🐢🐠🦔

Today Bauer St took part in the Teddy Bears' Picnic, organised by the Broadwater Network. It was a great morning at Musgrave Hill State School! We met lots of new faces who visited the Bauer St stand, enjoying some activities and picking up a goodie bag 🤗
