Science Week🔬🧪

This week, our children have been exploring, questioning, experimenting and discovering the world around them through hands-on science experiences!

Science encourages curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving and a sense of wonder, while supporting children to become confident and engaged learners. 🌏💡

Through play and exploration, we’re nurturing a love of learning and connecting with the EYLF Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.

Our little learners loved welcoming our local police officers to Musgrave Hill Community Children’s Centre!

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about our amazing community helpers, explore the police vehicle, ask lots of questions, and discover how police help keep us safe. Thank you for visiting and inspiring our children! 🚓✨

What a special morning for our Kindergarten children! 🖤💛❤️

We were honoured to welcome the Kombumerri Rangers for a meaningful cultural experience on Country. Through a yarning circle, Dreaming stories, Dadirri (deep listening), traditional music, movement and natural ochre painting, the children explored Aboriginal culture in a hands-on and respectful way.

Thank you to the Kombumerri Rangers for sharing your knowledge, stories and culture with us. We are grateful for this opportunity to continue building children’s understanding, respect and connection to Country.

A look back at a meaningful week of learning, connection and celebration.

From sensory play and storytelling to yarning circles, small world play and creative art, our children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through hands-on experiences that sparked curiosity, respect and a deeper connection to Country.

These moments remind us that meaningful learning doesn’t end with NAIDOC Week—it continues through everyday conversations, play and relationships as we nurture the next generation with understanding and respect.

🚑 This week we were excited to have an incursion from our local ambulance service!

Our children had the opportunity to explore a real ambulance, meet the friendly paramedics, and learn about the important role they play in helping our community. Through this hands-on experience, the children discovered what an ambulance looks like inside, when to call for help, and simple ways paramedics keep people safe and cared for.

Visits like these help build children’s confidence, reduce any fears they may have about emergency services, and deepen their understanding of the community helpers who are always there to support us.

A big thank you to our wonderful paramedic for taking the time to share their knowledge and make learning such a memorable experience.
