Natalie's Debut as President!

What a fantastic meeting this week!

Our Toastmaster, Brett, led the meeting with the thought-provoking theme "The Biggest Challenge", inspiring members to reflect on the obstacles we face and how we overcome them.

As our new President, Natalie delivered an encouraging speech reminding us to embrace life, seek out adventures, and make the most of every opportunity that comes our way.

Bella shared fascinating stories of great leaders, highlighting the importance of becoming a righteous person in private so we can successfully navigate life's biggest challenges when they arise.

We also enjoyed Kent's engaging and entertaining Table Topics session, which had members thinking on their feet and sharing their unique perspectives.

A special thanks to Sarah for introducing our Word of the Day: "Tenacity" – the determination and persistence to keep going despite difficulties.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and contributed to another inspiring evening of learning, leadership and personal growth.

Would you like to build your confidence, improve your public speaking skills, and connect with a supportive community?

What a fantastic last meeting we had at Toastmasters!

We were treated to amazing speeches from Rosie, Brett and Mehdi. Each bringing their own unique style, stories and insights.

A big thank you also to Valerie, our Table Topics Master, who challenged members with impromptu questions inspired by the evening’s theme: Collective Pronouns, presented by Toastmaster Pat.

The night included some wonderfully poetic and humorous examples, including favourites like 'a murder of crows'.

It was a fun, creative and laughter-filled evening while still helping everyone grow in confidence and communication.

Then the following meeting will be our special Changeover Committee Dinner as we celebrate our outgoing committee and welcome the new leadership team for the year ahead.

What a fantastic meeting last week.

Luke inspired us all with his speech about completing a 100km marathon. An incredible reminder of what determination and mindset can achieve.

Fiona shared a beautiful and personal journey of self-expression, reflecting on how she’s rediscovering the freedom she once felt as a child dancing in front of her parents. Toastmasters is just one part of that journey, and it was a truly heartfelt moment.

Andre brought some fun to the evening with a raffle. Congratulations to Sindy for winning the non-alcoholic wine.

Matt led the night as Toastmaster with the theme “Authenticity”, sharing powerful insights that really made us all reflect on showing up as our true selves.

Grateful to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community

Last week’s Toastmasters meeting was a powerful one.

We had five speeches, including a fantastic Icebreaker. Itst always inspiring to see members step up and share their story for the first time.

Our theme was “Letting Go”, and it sparked some beautiful insights about growth, resilience, and how releasing what no longer serves us can open the door to a better life.

Looking forward to the next meeting and more growth together.

✨ Toastmasters Weekly Wrap-Up ✨

Last week’s meeting was powerful, inspiring and full of growth.

Our theme, led by Kent, was “Be the Main Character in Your Own Life.”
A reminder that confidence isn’t about perfection — it’s about owning your story, backing yourself, and stepping forward even when it feels uncomfortable. When you decide you’re the main character, everything shifts.

Sarah delivered a heartfelt speech about her journey of perseverance. Her message was clear: don’t give up. Even in the hardest seasons, everything happens for a reason. Her vulnerability and strength reminded us that resilience builds real confidence.

We were also thrilled to induct two new members — Fiona and Gabby. Welcome to the journey! We’re excited to see you grow and thrive with us.

And of course, Table Topics brought the energy — quick thinking, courage under pressure, and plenty of laughs. There’s nothing like being called up unexpectedly to build confidence in real time.

Building leaders, one meeting at a time.
