They say one of the most important skills in Early Childhood Education is patience… and apparently speed 😂👟💨

Putting shoes on a child sounds like a simple task… until the child decides it’s actually a game of chase! 🤣

Educator: “Come on, let’s get your shoes on.”
Child: “Absolutely not. Catch me first.” 🏃‍♀️💨

Just another day in childcare, where getting two shoes onto two little feet can sometimes feel like our biggest achievement of the day! 😂👏

To our educators who spend half their day finding shoes, putting shoes on, taking shoes off… and then finding them again we see you! 🤣❤️

📸 Behind every great childcare photo… is an educator doing whatever it takes to get the shot! 😂

This video captures just a tiny part of our day as educators!

We know while our families are busy at work, they love getting those little glimpses into what their children have been up to throughout the day. ❤️

Will they come home with paint on their clothes? 🎨
Dirt across their face? 🌿
Or that beautiful hairstyle you spent time perfecting that morning now looking like a cyclone has ripped through the centre? 🌪️😂

That’s usually a pretty good sign they’ve had a GREAT day!

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, our educators are crouching, bending, moving left, moving right, taking 47 photos from every possible angle… all to get THE photo. 📸🤣

Because we know those photos aren’t just photos. They’re a little window into your child’s day and all the fun, learning, friendships and adventures they’ve had while you’ve been away. 🥰

So when you see that perfect photo come through… just know there was probably an educator behind the camera working harder for it than you realise! 😂📸❤️

🌟 Meet Emma… the unofficial star of most of our TikToks! 😂🎬

At this point, we’re not sure whether Emma works in childcare and does TikTok on the side… or whether she’s a TikTok star who just happens to be an amazing Educator. 🤔😂

Luckily for us, she’s just as great with the children as she is in front of the camera! 🙌

Emma really is our Jack of all trades Educator, entertainer, problem solver, TikTok talent… you name it, she can probably do it.

And judging by the confidence she brings to every video… she definitely knows it too! 😂💁‍♀️🌟

😴 Oh, how the tables have turned! 😂

Remember when sleep time was a battle and our educators spent what felt like forever patting little backs, whispering “shhh” and trying every trick in the book to help our little ones drift off to sleep? 💤

Well… apparently the children have been taking notes! 😂

Now they’re putting their skills to good use and giving our educators a turn patting them to sleep instead! 🤣❤️

And judging by the looks of it, our educators would be MORE than happy to take full advantage of sleep time if they could! 😴🙋‍♀️

Who knew rest time could become a role reversal? 😂

Children: “Shhh… it’s sleep time.”
Educators: “You don’t have to tell us twice!” 😴😂

Just another day of learning through play… although we’re not sure who’s learning from who anymore! ❤️

🌟 Experience That Makes a Difference 🌟

One of the things we are incredibly proud of at our centre is the variety of experience amongst our amazing team of educators. 💛

From educators who are just beginning their journey in Early Childhood Education, bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm, to those who have dedicated 10, 15, 20+ years to educating and caring for children every team member brings something special.

Having such a diverse range of experience allows our educators to learn from one another, share knowledge, mentor, collaborate and continue growing together. 🌱

But no matter how many years of experience sit behind each educator, they all share the same passion creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels loved, supported and like they belong. 🥰

Behind every room is a team with years of knowledge, plenty of stories, lots of laughter… and a whole lot of love for what they do! ❤️

We are so lucky to have such an incredible mix of experience within our centre.

✨ When secure relationships get a little TOO secure… 😂 ✨

In Early Childhood Education, we talk a lot about the importance of children developing safe, secure and trusting relationships with their educators. ❤️

And sometimes… they take that relationship very seriously. 🤣

You know you’ve created a strong attachment when your little sidekick needs to come EVERYWHERE with you — across the room, outside, to grab a drink bottle… basically, if you’re moving, they’re coming too! 😂

Today our educators decided to demonstrate exactly what that can feel like… 👀🤣

All jokes aside, we absolutely love being our children’s safe people — the ones they look for when they need comfort, reassurance, a cuddle or just someone familiar close by. 🥰

But some days, you really do gain a tiny little shadow! 😂❤️

Secure relationships: 10/10 ❤️
Personal space: 0/10 🤣

🐛🐞 Pre-Kindy Bug Hunt! 🐜🦋

Our Pre-Kindy children headed outdoors last week on a very important mission… to find some bugs! 🔍🌿

The children carefully explored the outdoor environment, looking under leaves, around the garden and in all the little places our creepy-crawly friends might be hiding.

Unfortunately, the bugs had other plans today! 😂

One of our children summed up the adventure perfectly, shrugging their shoulders and saying:

💬 “We got no bugs today, but we will try again tomorrow.”

And that is exactly what learning is all about! 💚 Not giving up, staying curious and being excited to try again.
