Seven minutes after midnight. A dead dog. A boy standing over it.
Christopher Boone is fifteen years old. He knows every prime number up to 7,057. He understands the logic of mathematics and the silence of outer space, but he finds the human world—with its metaphors, lies, and “too-loud” noises—an impossible puzzle. When he is wrongly accused of killing his neighbor’s dog, Christopher decides to channel his hero, Sherlock Holmes, to find the real culprit.
