The AEU’s national inquiry into public school infrastructure is in the NSW this week, travelling across the state to hear directly from teachers, principals, education stakeholders and the NSW Government about the infrastructure challenges and opportunities facing public schools. We are searching for the best student photography in the country. The AEU Heart of TAFE Photography Competition is a platform to showcase your talent to a national audience.

Beyond the $5,000 top prize, winners will be flown to Canberra to see their work featured during National TAFE Day celebrations.

Yesterday we celebrated National Public Education Day at Parliament House in Canberra, where we were joined by members, friends, and supporters of public education - including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Federal Education Minister Jason Clare.

To highlight the power of public education, we launched the new documentary series Class Acts, which shares the stories of well-known Australians and the public school teachers who helped shape them.
