Remember the Minecraft Education "Build in April" challenge I posted? Well, my nephew gave it a go and I'm pretty impressed! 😄
He's put together a video walkthrough of his 30 days of building - houses, castles, railways, hidden caves... the lot. It's a great example of what kids can create when you give them a fun challenge and let them run with it.

🧱 April Minecraft Challenges: Build vs. Code!
With the school holidays starting in Australia next week, I’ve put together two different ways for your students to stay creative and keep learning in Minecraft.

Whether they are budding architects or future software engineers, there is a 30-day challenge ready for them:

Option 1: The Creative Build Challenge 🏠
Perfect for all ages! Daily prompts to build everything from secret tunnels to circus tents. Great for sparking imagination and design thinking.

Option 2: The Code Builder Challenge 💻
A "Pro" progression for older students using the Minecraft Code Builder. It starts with basic Agent movements and builds up to complex loops, logic gates, and automated city generators!

Both are designed to be accessible but progressively challenging throughout the month of April.

We’re excited to launch a new Australia‑wide Minecraft Education Build Challenge for schools!

🧱 Students are challenged to design a Wellbeing Hub that helps people:
✅ feel calm
✅ feel connected
✅ stay active

It’s a flexible challenge that works in class time, clubs, or extension programs - and a great way to link wellbeing, creativity, and collaboration.

📅 Key dates:
• Submissions close: 5 June 2026
• Winners announced: 12 June 2026
