We are the national representative body for postgraduate students in Australia.

Founded in 1979, The Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations (CAPA) is a membership based non-profit organisation. CAPA's main role is in protecting and promoting the interests and needs of Australia's 300,000+ postgraduate students.

Today the Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations, on behalf of 22 student led organisations, sent a letter to the Minister for Home Affairs, The Hon. Tony Burke MP. to reverse the doubling of the 485 Temporary Graduate Visa application costs, for all postgraduate students.

Students hope the current government will allow an open dialogue with us to provide further consultation
on these matters so that we can work towards an amenable solution 🙌🏼
