Ready to kick up your heels, Melbourne? I’m Matt from Aligned Dance — if you want a fun, friendly way to get fit, meet people, and learn new moves, come to one of our local line dancing sessions! Whether you’re an absolute beginner or already know a few steps, our classes and socials are designed to be inclusive, upbeat, and low-pressure.

Why try line dancing with us? It’s a great workout (100–250 calories per 30 minutes), boosts your mood, and helps you build confidence — no partner, boots, or experience required. Pop in to a beginner night, bring a friend, or just try a class on your own — we’ll make you feel welcome.

Evening Classes Starting Back This Week The dance fun is coming back for 2026!

Wednesday 14th, 6:15pm at Fisherman’s Bend Community Centre, Port Melbourne.

Thursday 15th, 6:30pm at St Martin de Porres Parish Hall, Avondale Heights.

We start with low impact, easy, repetitive steps and a focus on enjoyment.

Recently Danced | Aligned Dance See all the dances we did at our recent Aligned Dance Line Dance Classes.

Come and join us for the Aligned Dance Christmas Line Dance Social.

All of our socials are fun, accessible and targeted to dancers from Beginner to Improver Level. We give you a run through of each dance AND we send out the dance lists 2-3 weeks before the event so that you can practice to your heart's content!

Our staff and students are friendly and welcoming. After our last social I was told by a visitor that we have "the friendliest students in Melbourne".

1pm, Sunday 7th December, Fisherman's Bend Community Centre. $20 dancer/$5 non-dancer

Unfortunately, the hall is required late on Thursday night for a church activity.
We'll be running our other classes as usual, including our Improver class at Port Melbourne on Wednesday night!
