🏊‍♀️ Two weeks of swimming lessons complete!

If your child is in Year 1, 3 or 5, they will be bringing home their swimming certificate today. A tick means they have achieved that skill, and a sticker indicates they have completed a stage.

👏 Well done to these Year 1 legends who all passed their respective levels! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Farewell Mrs Sue Smith 💙👋🌼💐

After moving to town in 2003 with her husband and two children, aged just 6 and 9, Sue never imagined that her “two-year stay” would turn into an incredible 24 years in South Hedland!

Sue began her career in the Pilbara working at Cassia Education Support Centre for 11 years, before moving to South Hedland Primary School, where she worked until 2016. Since 2017, we have been incredibly fortunate to have Sue as part of our school community.

For Sue, the highlight of her career has always been the people and the children. One of the most special parts has been having former students still come up to her, whether at school or out in the community, simply to say hello and catch up. She has even had the privilege of teaching the children of some of her former students.

As Sue enjoys her long service leave and prepares for retirement in Mandurah, there is certainly plenty to look forward to. She is also eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild early next year, which will make the year ahead extra special for Sue and her family.

We wish you all the very best for retirement and all that lies ahead. You will be very much missed, Sue! 💙🌟

📣 Brand new room!

Baler Primary School has developed a dedicated Well-being Space to support the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students.

The initiative aims to provide a safe, calming, and inclusive environment where students can regulate their emotions, build resilience, and access support when needed.

Through the creation of this space, the school is strengthening its commitment to student wellbeing by promoting positive relationships, emotional regulation, and readiness to engage in learning.

The Well-being Space is a valuable resource for students, contributing to a supportive school culture where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to succeed.

The Year 4s are on fire! 🔥 We’ve had multiple visits from students proudly sharing their fantastic information reports they’ve been working so hard on.

A huge well done to Ryder, Noa, Kobe, Cody, Sadie, Ollie, Ellise, Brianna, Athena, Anthony, Aiden and Azahra! Your reports have been fantastic and it’s been wonderful to see your enthusiasm and hard work shining through. 🌟📚
