Following children's interest through play💛🌈💛

A beach painting featuring coconuts sparked a conversation about coconut water, with one child sharing they had tried it and another saying they hadn't.

At our next playgroup, we extended on this interest by tasting two different coconut waters. The children compared the flavours and shared which they preferred.

A simple conversation turned into another opportunity for learning, exploring and trying something new 🥥💧🌴

Wherever our playgroup takes us, what doesn’t change is how our educators continue to create welcoming spaces where children and families feel supported, respected and encouraged to learn through play.

Playgroup is about so much more than the activities we provide. Social play gives children opportunities to connect with others, build friendships and develop positive interactions with their peers.

Through playing alongside and with one another, children are learning to communicate, share, cooperate and build a sense of belonging.

Sometimes the sweetest moments happen in between the play💛🌈⭐️
