Science Week is in full swing at CINTA Family Day Care! 🙌🤩

Busy little hands have been pouring, measuring, mixing colours and finding out “what happens if…?” 🌈🧪
We love our hands on learning at CINTA Family Day Care. Our little scientists have plenty of room to explore, experiment and make their own discoveries.

In honour of ANZAC Day, we explored remembrance through simple, hands on experiences inspired by the poppy flower.
Through the poppy flower and baking together, we gently explored ideas of remembering, sharing, and caring for others.

The children began by creating their own poppies, painting on paper plates and adding coffee beans. There was a quiet rhythm as they explored texture and scent, each child approaching it in their own way with focus and care.

We then spent time together baking ANZAC cookies. Pouring, mixing, and rolling the dough. It was lovely to see their curiosity as they noticed the smell and feel of the ingredients, and later enjoyed what they had made and took them home to share with their family.

🌍 Our Earth, Our Home 💚
On 22 April, we celebrated Earth Day by exploring how Earth is our home. A place we love and look after.

The children created their own Earth using blue and green, representing the ocean and land. It was lovely to see their focus, creativity, and pride in their work.
We also talked about Australia as our home and where it sits on the Earth 🇦🇺🌎

Simple experiences like these support children in building a sense of belonging and care for the world around them.

Practical Life at CINTA Family Day Care 🌈🏡

Practical Life experiences are an important part of our program at CINTA Family Day Care. Cooking provides meaningful, hands on opportunities for children to develop real life skills in a purposeful way 👨‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Through this experience, the children were building:
• Fine motor strength and coordination
• Concentration and persistence
• Independence and confidence
• Healthy food awareness
• A sense of responsibility and contribution

Using real tools in a safe and guided environment, children are trusted as capable and competent learners. These everyday experiences nurture self belief, practical skills and a strong sense of belonging.
So much focus, teamwork and joyful learning.

Wishing everyone a WONDERFUL AUSTRALIA DAY 🇦🇺 and a beautiful long weekend.
May it be filled with rest, smiles, and special moments together 💝🌷🎉

This week, the children engaged in a hands on art experience exploring primary colours, inspired by fireworks and Australia Day 🎆 🇦🇺

Using salt painting, the children carefully sprinkled salt and observed with curiosity as watercolours travelled through the textured surface, blended together, and formed new colours.
This open ended experience supported concentration, independence, and sensory exploration, allowing each child to work at their own pace and follow their natural curiosity.

Through this process, the children practiced fine motor control, hand and eye coordination, and early scientific thinking as they predicted, observed, and reflected on how colours changed and moved.
The joy and pride shared as they admired their finished artworks reflected a strong sense of achievement and belonging 🙌🤩

I provide a calm, respectful, home based early learning environment where children are supported to develop independence, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging within a small group setting.

Care information:
• Location: South Hedland
• Hours: Monday–Friday | 6:00am–4:00pm
• Full time and part time positions available
• Children aged 15 months and over
• Suitable for CCS approved families
