Kylie's Family Daycare I have been a registered educator with Clarence Family Daycare for 12 years. I have 4 children. My daycare is based on acreage slightly out of South Grafton.

My standard booking hours are 8am – 5pm but I’m flexible if needing earlier starts/later finishes. I can be available for overnight care and weekend care, I also offer drop offs and pickups to accommodate families and parent’s needs. We enjoy regular excursions and social outings to Playsession’s and Story time. I strive to create a warm, safe and nurturing home like environment for each individual child to learn and grow at their own pace. To listen and extend children’s development based on and from their home culture, the child’s interests and local community events.

World Environment Day 🌏

To celebrate World Environment Day, we took our playdough learning outdoors! We explored the natural environment, collecting sticks, leaves and rocks. The children used these treasures along with the rolling pins to create patterns, prints and sculptures in the playdough, sparking conversations about nature and the world around us. This sensory experience encouraged appreciation for the environment and promoted creativity through sustainable, nature-based play.

Extending on Miss B’s love of drawing today, we introduced Aboriginal symbols and a calming sand tray for her to explore. Using her finger and a stick, she carefully traced each symbol, deepening her connection to the stories and meanings behind them.

This engaging sensory play included:
Sea creatures and shells
Blue rice and white pebbles for hands-on discovery
Coral, seaweed and sparkly pieces to spark imaginative storytelling
