Year 11 and Year 12 Advanced English students had a fantastic time today with Jason from Grin and Tonic Shakespeare, exploring Shakespeare, performance and the plays they’ve been studying.

Amongst the many things they learnt, students discovered that some of Shakespeare’s smallest stage directions can leave a surprising amount in the hands and voices of the actors. Here, our Year 11 students have a go at channelling their best Lady Macbeth devastation!

A brilliant, entertaining seminar and a great way to experience Shakespeare as it was intended, off the page and on the stage.

Last weekend, our Run Beyond students took on the C.ex Group Coffs Harbour Running Festival, choosing between the 5km and 10km events. They did exceptionally well, and we’re incredibly proud of how they represented our school.

But it wasn’t just about the running. Our students stayed behind to help pack down the event, putting into practice the importance of giving back and being part of their community.

A special shout-out to Sebastian, who not only competed in both the 5km and 10km events, but then went on to support the final marathon runners across the finish line 🙌

A huge thank you to C.ex Group Coffs Harbour Running Festival and The Run Beyond Project for providing this opportunity, and to the C.ex Group Coffs Harbour Running Festival for their generous $4,000 donation to the Run Beyond Project.

Our Year 11 Textiles and Design students travelled to Brisbane today for an inspiring day of fashion, creativity and hands on learning.
The students visited Museum of Brisbane to view The Red Dress, an incredible global textile art project celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of designers from around the world. They then took part in an Easton Pearson workshop, where they explored embellishment techniques and created their own unique designs to take home.
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience textile design beyond the classroom, be inspired by leading designers and put their own creative ideas into practice.

A kind word to someone sitting alone. Sticking up for someone when it would be easier to stay quiet. Checking in on a friend who's gone quiet themselves. Asking for help if you need it.
All of these things require courage from you, and this courage in action can change what happens next.
There is always a way that you can help to make a difference.
