🌶️ ARCADE #2 IS STARTING TO SIZZLE! 🌶️

The magic is happening in the second arcade at Sorrento Quay — and after two quiet years, the lights are finally coming back on!
Once a little pocket of desolation, Arcade #2 is about to get very, very interesting…

🍨Malibu Shakes and Frenchy’s Bubble Tea are the matriarchs of the arcade, keeping the doors open and the spirit alive through the quieter years.

🌸 Mars Boutique Beauty was one of the first to plant its flag here two years ago, and for a while, it was a little lonely. Then came Hillarys Herbal Dispensary — and now, suddenly, we’re no longer alone!

And what’s coming next? A whole new collection of flavours, aromas, inspiration and experiences…

🍕 Mia Pizza will be bringing the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pizza wafting through the arcade. The brainchild of the team behind renowned Pizza Mates in Balcatta, this one promises to bring a serious slice of Italian goodness to Sorrento Quay.

☕🍫 The Brownie Brothers are bringing the sweet stuff — barista coffee, French hot chocolate and, I’m sure, brownies that will be impossible to resist. Consider your afternoon coffee break officially upgraded!

🥟 Across from us, a new dumpling store will be adding a little Asian flavour to the arcade. We’re already imagining those delicious aromas drifting our way…

📚✨ And around the corner, near Turquoise, Food for Thought Book Collective will be creating a haven for curious minds and wandering souls, with books and oracle cards devoted to spirituality, higher learning and personal discovery. A little inspiration for the soul seekers among us.

🌺 Petite Île du Paradis will transport us somewhere altogether more tropical, with beautiful Mauritian handmade handbags and parasols — a little island paradise right here at the Quay.

🌊🎨 Opposite, Temporary Tattoos and Bennett Boutique will bring their own splash of creativity, with ocean-inspired treasures and locally crafted pieces including candles, keyrings, clocks and other beach-inspired curiosities.

🌮☀️ Picoso Mexican Cucina is set to fill the space left by Rustica and Oporto, bringing sunshine, colour and the unmistakable spirit of Mexico to the Quay. Think Mexican flavours, good times and dining in the sun!

🍷🎉 And topping it all off, Bar One and Suzy’s Wine Bar will be bringing back something the Quay has been missing — a little nightlife, a little celebration and plenty of reasons to linger.

✨ Arcade #2 might just be the quiet achiever of 2027.
What was once an overlooked little corner is beginning to feel like a destination again — a place to eat, browse, discover, sip, shop, learn and linger.

And perhaps most importantly, it’s bringing back something that Hillarys locals know and love: COMMUNITY. ❤️

The second arcade is waking up.
And we’re very excited to see what happens next… 🌿✨

Kinesiology is for the psyche what iridology is for the eyes

Our bodies are roadmaps - some for the physical, some for the emotional, mental & spiritual.
Kinesiology uses muscle testing to unravel the emotional tangles - the deep, suppressed stressors.

Some stressors are almost comical - something said in passing when we were a child that deeply affected us. Other stressors connect us to complicated past relationships.

Kinesiology precisely identifies the theme of the issue and can time stamp it within the month and year it occurred. More importantly, releases the stress around the issue with healing modalities your body indicates it will respond to.
Your body does the talking, you do the relaxing.

Kylie is at the dispensary every Sunday so please book ahead:

HEAVY METALS

Metals are ubiquitous in the environment but sequestered with other minerals. Mining of minerals releases heavy metals which have found many applications including agricultural use, pharmaceutical and medical, cosmetics, inks, dyes etc.

It is not a matter of 'if' your body is storing heavy metals, it is a matter of which organs and tissues are storing them. We understand the concept of microplastics so a suitable terminology might be 'micro-metals.'

Historically, arsenic was used in face lightening creams and popular in the 1920s and 1930s when a pale complexion was in vogue. Do you think that a young woman seeking to enhance herself cosmetically was thinking there was arsenic in her cream? These creams eventually started phasing out in the 1950's. That's 1-2 generations of women applying a daily moisturizer laden with arsenic.

Mercurials were used extensively:

- Syphilis Treatment: From the 15th to early 20th centuries, mercury was the primary cure for syphilis, administered via ointments, v***r baths, injections, and oral preparations like calomel.

- Diuretics: Inorganic mercury compounds were widely used as diuretics to treat edema and heart failure until the advent of thiazide diuretics in the 1950s.

- Traditional Medicine: In Traditional Chinese, Tibetan, Mongolian, Ayurvedic, and Unani medicine, mercury (often as cinnabar or processed compounds) was used for sedation, relieving convulsions, treating stroke, cardiovascular diseases, skin conditions, and as an antiseptic for wounds.

- General Ailments: Historically, mercury was prescribed for constipation (as a cathartic), melancholy/depression, parasites, skin diseases, teething pain in infants, and various febrile diseases like typhoid and yellow fever.

- Dentistry: Mercury has been used in dental amalgams since at least the first century CE for fillings and remains in use in some regions for affordable oral care. Amalgams release mercury vapour constantly and many choose to have these safely removed.

- Preservatives and Antiseptics: Organic mercury compounds like thimerosal were used as preservatives in vaccines, eye drops, nasal sprays, and cosmetics, and as topical antiseptics (Mercurochrome) for wounds.

Fluoroscopes: During the 1930s-50s, women would have x-rays for their feet and ankles to ascertain which footwear would best suit their needs. Fluoroscopes were x-ray machines. Now fluoroscopes are no longer used, we still need x-rays for dental work and suspected bone fractures. Uranium accumulation in soft tissues peaks within 24 hours of exposure, heavily concentrating in the proximal tubules of the kidneys.

These heavy metals are accumulated over time and can cross the placenta - we are inheriting heavy micro-metals and compounding with our own lifestyle choices.

This is the reason for a big surge in people seeking heavy metal detoxification protocols. Awareness is growing that is not only accumulative loads in our lifetimes but in our ancestry that we want to rectify.

Complete avoidance is futile but awareness can inhibit future accumulations. Smoking has become unfashionable and perhaps even foolhardy -not because the ni****ne is dangerous but the cadmium and other chemicals laden into to***co.
Tattoos, on the other hand, have become commonplace.

Using topical iodine solution as antiseptics instead of mercury and chrome compounds. Usually water is adequate on a fresh scrape.

I have had many discussions with colleagues who treat patients for various health conditions. Historical accumulations are often overlooked in favour of genetic testing or investigation of x, y, z condition.

Putting the pieces together, one of the major pieces of the puzzle is centuries of heavy metal transmission affecting nerve relay, organ function, inflammatory processes, immune dysregulation to name a few.

While we cannot name every pathogen, metal or chemical that has infiltrated our system, we can target heavy metal removal from the deeper layer of our tissues.

EDTA is used for acute toxicity from exposure to mercury, arsenic, lead, beryllium, cadmium etc. but is not suitable for chronic accumulations neither desirable for repeated use.

We can treat heavy metals therapeutically in short, intense bursts or perhaps, more ideally as part of a long term program with intermittent hair or urine testing to track excretion.

We many never make a 100% clean sweep but marked improvements in neurological and organs function are worth the gains especially if considering having children and minimizing their inherited load from both parents.

Our world becomes more polluted by the day and, fortunately, as environmental remediation emerges as the clean up crew, we can do our part in purifying ourselves of inherited and accumulated metals.

If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem.

INCLUDED IN MEMBERS CONSULTATIONS

Your iridology consultation can be very revealing for past and future health.

Iridology is the study of the iris - a topographical map of the body. All organs, glands and tissues can be seen from nervous system, activity and toxicity perspectives.

Personality traits reveal themselves and can be remarkably accurate.

Your eyes are not just the windows to the soul, they are the windows to past, present and future health when studied in depth.
