Tillerkite Pre-School

During our recent Professional Development Day, the team participated in a range of hands-on workshops focused on play-based learning, nature-rich environments and child-led experiences. We explored how our outdoor spaces can be used to inspire curiosity, creativity, independence and problem-solving, while reflecting on ways to create meaningful learning opportunities through everyday play.

We also investigated the value of loose parts play, connected with nature through a values-based lens, and participated in a weaving workshop using natural materials. By learning through exploration, collaboration and reflection, we gained practical ideas to bring back to our kindergarten program, helping us create engaging environments where children can connect, discover, create and thrive. 🌿✨

What an incredible night at our Kinder Paint & Sip Fundraiser!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, supported, donated, bid in our silent auction and helped make the evening such a success. The support from our kinder community was truly amazing and we are so grateful to each and every person who contributed.

We’re so excited to share that together we raised $2305 for our kinder! These funds will go directly towards improvements and resources for the children, helping create an even better environment for them to learn, play and grow.

A very special thank you to the wonderful local artist Karen Brouwer for generously giving her time, talent and guidance throughout the evening. Your support helped make the night so enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved 🎨

A huge thank you to our incredible 4-year-old kinder families, teachers and committee members who came to the working bee, it was truly all hands on deck on Sunday!

Rain, hail or shine, you showed up and so much was achieved - a full skip, sensory swings installed, new garden reel, furniture varnished and an overall tidy up! It was such a big effort.

We’re so grateful for the time, energy and community spirit. The outdoor space looks amazing and the kids are going to love it!
