Pobblebonks Early Learning Centre is a locally owned Early Learning Centre, located at 9 Wragg Street, Somerset. Providing Long Day Care from Birth to 5 years. We believe Pobblebonks will contribute to the development and education of young children by providing high quality early learning programs that will enhance each child’s perception of themselves as competent, confident learners and above a

ll promote positive attitudes towards learning. Our centre is licensed for 35 children a day aged from birth-5 years. We are approved under the Educational and Care Services National Law Act 2010, assessed under the National Quality Standards and were previously Nationally Accredited and met all indicators of high quality care. Our friendly, qualified and experienced educators will strive to build positive relationships with children, their families and the wider community and acknowledge and respect the diversity within these. Educators are required to hold a current Safety Screen, First Aid Certificate and Diploma of Children’s Services and or training towards this qualification. We believe learning is a lifelong process and therefore educators will be given an opportunity to attend ongoing professional development training to further enhance their knowledge & skills. Pobblebonks runs under the Federal Government Child Care Benefit Scheme. Please phone us with your Child Care Rebate % for a quote on fees and Book a “1hr Free Introductory Visit”. As part of our National Reconciliation Week this year, on 27th May - 3rd June we are encouraging all children, families and teachers to take part in a yellow-themed casual dress day to raise funds for a First Nations organisation, Children’s Ground.

The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2023 is ‘Be a voice for generations.’

This theme encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and play.

That is why Pobblebonks has chosen to participate in Children’s Ground’s ‘Wear It Yellow’ day. As part of ‘Wear It Yellow Day’, children will engage with National Reconciliation Week learning materials and have vibrant discussions about First Nations culture and history.

We remind families and teachers who take part to donate what you can to Children’s Ground by bringing a donation on the day.
