Groovy Kidz is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator Trainee to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and eager to complete their Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while gaining hands-on experience.

At Groovy Kidz, we believe in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child. Our service provides a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.

We are seeking someone who:
· Has a genuine passion for early childhood education
· Is motivated to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
· Demonstrates reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude
· Can work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
· Has strong communication and organisational skills

· Current Working with Children Check
· Commitment to completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
· Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude

✨ Welcome Back to a New Year of Fun and Learning! ✨

We are so excited to welcome all our families back for another fantastic year! It’s been such a joy to see the children’s smiling faces, hear their laughter, and watch them dive straight into exploring, creating, and connecting.

Our first week has been all about settling in, making new friends, and reconnecting with old ones. The children have been so enthusiastic, and we’ve loved seeing their confidence and curiosity shine as they’ve explored their learning spaces.

Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to:

🌟 Outdoor Adventures: From running, climbing, and digging in the sandpit to exploring our garden, the children have enjoyed soaking up the sunshine and connecting with nature.

🎨 Creative Expression: Painting has been a big hit this week, with the children using brushes, sponges, and even their hands to create vibrant artworks. Their imaginations have been running wild, and their masterpieces are truly something to celebrate!

🦖 Dinosaur Discoveries: Dinosaurs have captured the children’s interest, sparking playful exploration, pretend scenarios, and fun conversations. Watching their excitement as they shared their knowledge and ideas has been wonderful.

🌊 Under the Sea Adventures: We have loved painting colourful sea creatures and “fishing” for toy sea animals with magnetic rods, testing our skills and enjoying plenty of giggles along the way. Our sensory tray, filled with shells, and toy sea creatures, were a huge hit, sparking creative storytelling and imaginative play.

🤝 Making Connections: Whether it’s building towers together, sharing stories, or playing games, the children have been strengthening friendships and forming new bonds. It’s heartwarming to see their kindness and teamwork.

We are so proud of how beautifully the children have settled back in, and we can’t wait to see where their interests and ideas take us this year.

Thank you to all our families for your support and for trusting us to be part of your child’s learning journey. We’re looking forward to sharing many more special moments and milestones in the weeks ahead!

The educators in the Busy Investigators room have provided a variety of sensory tubs for the children to explore ☺

Sensory bins are awesome hands-on tools for children to learn about their world and senses! They let children explore, discover and learn. Through scooping and pouring they are learning about measurement, about estimating, and spatial awareness (the understanding of one object in relationship to another).
