If your child doesn’t want to eat dinner, it might be because they haven’t had enough time to feel hungry again after their afternoon snack.

Try these ideas:
- Allow 2-3 hours between meals and snacks
- Move afternoon tea earlier if you can, so your child has more time to get hungry before dinner
- Move dinner a little later if this works for your family
- Make afternoon tea smaller if it is close to dinner time
- Check if your child is hungry for afternoon tea. If they’re not hungry, it’s okay to skip the snack and have dinner a little earlier

Remember, it’s okay if your child doesn’t eat every snack or meal. They will balance their intake over time.

I used to think I had to keep my child busy so I could get things done.
