This week we celebrate and thank Chris as she retires from the Early Childhood Education and Care sector after 35 incredible years of caring for children, supporting families, and guiding her fellow educators along the way.

Chris, your kindness, dedication, and calm, caring nature have touched the hearts of so many. You’ve made a lasting difference in the lives of the children you’ve worked with, and your support and mentorship have inspired countless colleagues. We are truly grateful for everything you have given.

We will miss you dearly, but we are excited for all the joy and relaxation that retirement will bring you. 💛

📚 Exciting News at Explorers on Emmett St! 📚

Our brand-new Street Library was installed today at the front of Explorers, and we are so excited to share the love of reading with everyone! ✨

Take a book, give a book, share a book, our little library is here for the whole community to enjoy.
There are books available for both children and adults, ready for you to borrow or swap anytime.

A huge thank you to Circular Head 26Ten - Learn For Life for bringing this wonderful project to life for our community. ❤️

With the recent changes to regulations around the safe use of digital technologies in Early Childhood Education and Care, we are committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and distraction-free environment for all children. For this reason, we kindly ask that families do not send these devices with their children.
We can’t wait for a holiday program full of fun, learning, and adventure!

🌟 2026 Bookings Are Now Open! 🌟

Here at Stars Early Learning, we’re a not-for-profit service dedicated to helping little ones grow, learn, and thrive, while building long-lasting bonds with our families. 💛
We’re excited to announce that we have a few vacancies for 2026 for children aged 0–2 years!

✨ Exciting News for 2026!
The Government is introducing 3 days guaranteed childcare, meaning all families, regardless of their activity test hours, will receive 3 days of care per week.
Families will simply need to lodge a CCS (Child Care Subsidy) claim and pay the gap fee.

🕒 Session Options:
⭐ Short Day: 9am – 3pm
⭐ Full Day: 6:45am – 6pm
(Drop off and collection can be made any time within your session)

Important Update – Friday 10th October

Due to the forecasted rain, flash flooding, and extreme winds, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel our planned Vacation Care excursion to Devonport.

Instead, we’ll be spending the day at the venue with a Dance Party, Pokémon & Minecraft Day! 🎉

If you wish to cancel your child’s booking as we are no longer travelling to Devonport, there will be no charge for this cancellation.

We’ll be contacting affected families via email.

Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to a fun and safe day together despite the change in plans!
