Hello to all our wonderful families
Busy week with the beginnings of our age group sessions. Our clever dolphins practised some great name writing with chalk and decorated their very own name tags for their lockers.Lots of group games instilling social interaction turn taking and sharing.Lots of wonderful educational activities and experiences programmed for the year ahead with our wonderful new educator Jo.
Our penguins were encouraged to do some free drawing so as educator Lisa could establish their pencil grip. Practising correct pincer grip will be an ongoing activity throughout year. Lots of colour and shape recognition through the use of songs, books, Playdough, coloured pencils and block building.
Our jellyfish, educator Emily, were also learning colours and shapes while focus and concentration was promoted.
Our little seahorse, educator Stacey, enjoyed lots of songs, bike riding, cause and effect toys,bubble blowing and Sandplay.
This week we began our discussions on emotions and feelings through open ended conversations,books and songs. We will be following this theme for the month of February, although it is a ongoing learning experience.
This month is feel good February and we will be reiterating to our children the importance of kindness and acceptance.
Next week we will be making some healthy tasty treats for the children to make and enjoy to recognise healthy lunchbox week

Wrapping up another wonderful year at seashells, watching your children grow, develop and form friendships with other children and educators. It has been awesome to love care and educate your children.
The end of the year sees our beautiful Brooke leaving and moving on to some exciting new adventures overseas. Brooke has been an amazing educator, work colleague and friend and we will miss her dearly. Brooke has the most warm and loving nature and her neverending enthusiasm has been a real asset to the seashells family
The centre will close on the 23rd December and reopen on the 9th Jan. Have an amazing Christmas and New year and we look forward to seeing you in the new year

,Hello to all our families What a wonderful busy week. Our exciting excursion to Oakvale farm was great fun and all the children had a wonderful time. Great treat for our children leaving us to go to big school and our older penguins.The children saw an assortment of animals - birds, reptiles, meerkats, farm animals - and we finished the day with some fun in the water park. All the children did very well, following direction and keeping with their leaders. The bus trip was an added bonus. Thursday saw our Christmas concert and the turn out was awesome. Thank you to all those that attended and enjoyed the wonderful songs performed by your children. There was also a graduation ceremony where we celebrated the achievements of our dolphin children leaving for big school.Santa arrived to some very excited children and handed out some lollies and presents. Special thanks to Pacific Palms Rural Fire Brigade for your wonderful support in providing Santa and making the day extra special for our children. Last week of fun and happiness at Seashells. We will fill the week with Christmas cheer, songs, books and Christmas decoration making. Just a reminder we will be starting back on the 9th January Have a great weekend.

Hello families
Lots of fun getting ready for the festive season with Christmas craft, songs, stories and dancing. Lots of practice for the Xmas concert next week - kids are all very excited.
Next week sees our wonderful dolphins heading off to Oakvale farm, to celebrate their graduation of preschool. Going to be an awesome day with lots of farm animals and the special treat, a water park.Please remember to be at school by 8.30.
We had a fun visit from healthy Harold on Monday. Lots of educational fun with the discussion of safety signs, water safety, road safety, using games as a tool. We also discussed how we contact 000 on emergencies.

Busy week with the beginnings of Christmas cheer. Lots of Christmas songs, books,music and craft. We put up our Christmas tree with the help of lots of friends. The children had a great time throwing the tinsel at the tree and we made our own glittery ornaments.
Lots of practice for our Christmas concert which our children are very excited for.
Our older children have had a great week with lots of discussion about big school, what they are looking forward to and what they have been doing at Happy Start the last couple of weeks. The children have formed a very strong connection amongst themselves and this will help make this new transition easier.
Seahorses have enjoyed the beginnings of water play this week with the warmer weather and this will be happening quite often with the onset of summer. Bubbles, painting, bike riding, books songs and heaps of love have been aplenty this week.
Our jellyfish have continued with ways to help regulate their emotions while enjoying lots of painting and collaging.
The dolphins have continued with number education using lots of games and activities - find a number, treasure hunt, bingo,
Monday 5th we are having a visit from Healthy Harold from Life education. All welcome even if it is not your child’s day.

Hello to all our families
Lots of Christmas cheer this week with the start of some great Christmas crafts.We shared some great Christmas books and practiced for our Christmas concert. Lots of fun dancing with lots of action songs.
Our beautiful seahorses had a fun filled week with bubble blowing, sandpit play. easel painting, bike riding, books, songs and cause and effect toys. Using our little friends handprints we made a beautiful Christmas tree.
Lots of colour and shape learning with our jellyfish friends.Using paints we promoted different colours while the children created masterpieces. Lots of songs and books and our favorite Playdough. Many of the children worked together to create an awesome train track.
Our dolphins and penguins continued with number work.
Another great week of Rugby tots full of learning and physical fun.
Next week the 5th of December we have a special visit from Healthy Harold. Can’t wait

Hello Families,
A busy week for our seahorse friends and the beginnings of Christmas fun. The children have begun to talk about Christmas and what they hope Santa will bring. Christmas craft and art becoming popular and the sharing of Christmas songs and dances. Lots of practice for our exciting Christmas concert.
Our older children have been doing a lot of number work with the use of Xmas games and stencils. Our younger children have also followed number recognition with games using outdoor items.
As always our seahorse room very very busy with all our beautiful babies and toddlers. Lots of songs, bubbles, dancing and painting outside.
Rugby tots back this week and so great to see how well the children are participating and listening to direction.
