Kids Direction team are proud to join in the celebration of our First Nations people this NAIDOC Week.

This year's theme, 'Heal Country!' calls for greater protections for our lands, waters, sacred sites and cultural heritage and to embrace Aboriginal cultural knowledge and understanding of Country.

Experience/Skills:

> Diploma OR ECT in Children's Services
> Experience working within a childcare setting at least 2 years
> Enthusiastic and career oriented
> Understanding of the EYLF and NQF
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills
> Being proactive within the centre and learning environment
> Able to work in a team environment

This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for:

> Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning
> Framework and the National Quality Standards
> Implement and evaluate programs indoors and outdoors
> Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children that focuses on children's agency
> Writing observations and analysing children's progression and developmental milestones
> Be a confident and active leader of your room team
> Provide support and assistance to other staff members with ongoing mentoring meetings
> Monitor all staff interactions to ensure they are in line with the EYLF and the services philosophy
> Develop strong relationships with children and effectively communicate with parents and carers

Outdoor Classroom Day Outdoor Classroom Day is a day to celebrate and inspire learning and play outside the classroom, and we want YOU to get involved!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2020 - Thank you to our amazing parent John Dang for capturing these awesome photo's of our staff and children dressing up for Halloween.

Our centre had the opportunity to be involved in the Child Development Institute for Mainstream Support for children on the Autism Spectrum - as you may know our centre cares for multiple children with diverse needs of all types and embeds inclusive practices to ensure they feel a sense of belonging in our environments.

CDI offers specialized Early Intervention programs based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), an evidence-based intervention for children on the Autism Spectrum and with Developmental Delays.

Their programs are designed to give your child the skills they need to lead an independent life and to fully participate within their family and community, each week our centre had a CDI Therapist visit the childs centre for a 2 hour visit. During this time they modeled and provided guided practices with the child care educators to support and build their skills, enhancing your child’s inclusion within their programs.
