Hi Everyone. I’m in the process of property hunting so classes and groups are suspended until I get a new place with a large shed or workshop space. I’m looking for a small acreage in the southern Gold Coast or Tweed region.

Letting everyone know that Friday 25th of February is our last Art Shed day until I return from traveling in Latin America. Our next class is on April 25th. All welcome, only $10 from 9.30 to 12.30. Don’t forget to bring something to share for morning tea.

Here’s some past creations and current pieces under construction in the Elanora Art Shed. If Sculpture and Painting interest you we’d love to introduce you to our wonderful teacher Tony Dowers. Join our regulars, Patti and Bronwyn, Friday mornings 9.30 to 12.30 (only $10 plus materials like clay and firing costs).

Kids, oldies, skilled and beginners are welcome, just bring morning tea nibbles to share and get your hands dirty or paint your he’art’ out!

We take a break only on the Friday before Christmas.

Who loves the old square-riggers?
John Gordon’s oil on canvas painting (75cm x 65cm including its handsome antique frame) is called, “My Cutty Sark”. John’s now retired from our art group to reside in a nursing home, but he’d just love it if some one would buy his painting to enjoy it like he once did.

Our Friday art group in my Elanora Shed continues even with our wonderful teacher Tony not appearing every time due the distance he must now travel to be with us. But the rest of us have plenty of skills to share and lots of materials here for beginners or experts to explore their creativity on a regular basis.

I’ve just completed this acrylic on board piece. I’m crazy about Hibiscus flowers with their exuberant colours and shapes.

One of our Art Shed former members, ship enthusiast John Gordon, has now moved to a nursing home. Here’s one of his lovely oil paintings, “My Curry Sark”, which he wants someone else to enjoy.
