Come and join us for the best fundraising brekky burger in town or enjoy the mouth watering sausage and onion on Saturday, 22 August, 2026 from 8:00 at Repco MAX on Moss Street.

This is our final fundraising event before we head over to the USA for black belt testing and advanced training.

The last 18 months of fundraising involved: raffles, BBQ events, dodge ball events, cans collections and more.

We would like to take this opportunity to say huge THANK YOU to all our sponsors, supporters and contributors, who enabled us to make this journey a reality.

Your contributions allowed us to cover:
💰 all testing fees
💰 building expenses for the duration of our dojo closure
💰 most of the accommodation cost

And with this final event, we are aiming to finish strong and raise just a little bit extra to assist with our transportation costs while in the USA.

As our upcoming trip is getting closer, we are holding our final fund raising BBQ at Repco MAX on Moss Street on Saturday, 22/08/2026 from 8:00.

For many this will be becoming a black belt for the first time and for others reaching the next level of their black belt abilities, but what exactly is involved?
It hasn’t been just 18 months of hard work and preparation, but also:
✅ many years of training progressing through the previous levels
✅ successfully passing the theory test
✅ presenting an essay on given topic or a research paper
✅ participating in and helping with many fundraising events and activities over the past 18 months
✅ continuing to develop skills and fitness

It is said that only one from every 1000 students becomes a black belt and here I am looking at 7 amazing students who are heading to the USA for a black belt grading, not to mention that for some it is not their first, nor second, but third or higher level black belt.

I cannot stress enough how proud I am to be part of this group!
