I am a qualified and registered Queensland primary teacher and tutor. I work with students in any subject areas that they need, although it is usually english or maths. I casually teach at Education Queensland schools- this means I am up to date with what is happening in the classroom. Prior to beginning tutoring, my education career included working full time as a teacher in Queensland and also o

verseas in private schools. I use a variety of methods to help keep the lesson interesting and fun such as,

* Hands on materials such as clocks, money, tens and ones, etc
* Online games that directly match a skill (no time wasting!)
* Videos/ Songs
* Worksheets

I base my lessons on your concerns as a parent, on report cards, through correspondence with classroom teachers (if you like) and through my own analysis of gaps in your child's knowledge. I work from my home in Sippy Downs to ensure a quiet environment and stable Wifi access. I run individual hourly sessions and sibling sessions. I am enthusiastic, caring, kind, friendly and passionate about what I do. I have references available along with my teaching history and certificates of qualification.

$60 for 50 mins.
$90 for 80 mins
Sibling offer- 1hr for $80

Both options include personalised homework and school teacher correspondence and collaboration.

Access simple resources to help families support children's learning at home, linked to strategies and experiences from the toolkit. There is one family fact sheet linked to each toolkit topic. To make these accessible across our communities they have been translated into different languages.

Many Autistic/neurodivergent children bottle up their feelings at school, in front of health care professionals, at social functions or other settings, which means their struggles might not be readily apparent to people outside their immediate family.

Meltdowns or shutdowns might occur only at home or out of the public eye, but they are VERY real. Many adults experience something similar.
