Many Autistic/neurodivergent children bottle up their feelings at school, in front of health care professionals, at social functions or other settings, which means their struggles might not be readily apparent to people outside their immediate family.

Meltdowns or shutdowns might occur only at home or out of the public eye, but they are VERY real. Many adults experience something similar.

Although I haven’t had experience with this service I love that he offers financial support for student assessments! Also lists other places that do the same. Hope this helps someone!

What was your favourite?

My favorite books when I was a kid I read all of them loved them. Those and Nancy Drew.

Did you know there are books that are written for older readers who have a lower reading level? Neither did I! They are called ‘hi-lo’ - high interest, lower reading ability.
Haven’t found any in the library yet but this site is a great resource for finding some!
