Who doesn’t love Book Week!!! 📚✨

Here at Sinnamon Park, we embrace and celebrate the magic of books, stories and imagination. Book Week isn’t just about dressing up for the children- our educators get into character too! 🎭📖

We love bringing stories to life and creating a love of reading through fun, laughter and a little bit of imagination! ❤️✨

Ever had one of those "What should I be doing with my child?" moments? You might already have the answer at home.

Earlier this year, every Goodstart family received a What & When for Families guide for each child. If it's been tucked away in a drawer since then, now might be the perfect time to pull it back out.

The guide is packed with simple, play-based activities that support your child's learning and development at home. Best of all, it's written in your child's voice, with ideas tailored to their age and developmental stage.

From singing songs with babies and playing peek-a-boo, to "I Spy" games, storytelling and treasure hunts with older children, the activities are designed to fit naturally into everyday moments you already share together.

We know learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Those small moments at home can help build big communication, language and literacy skills.

Take another look through your What & When for Families guide to explore age-appropriate activities and learning ideas you can try together.

💛 Sometimes the best learning resource is the one you already have at home.

What better way to celebrate Book Week than by bringing our favourite characters to life! 📖💫
Our educators certainly embraced the fun and got right into the spirit of dressing up! From colourful characters to much-loved storybook favourites, there were plenty of smiles, laughs and a little bit of bookish magic throughout the centre. 💕🎭
We love showing the children that books can inspire imagination, creativity and, most importantly, lots of fun! 📚❤️

🔬🌈 That’s a wrap on Science Week! 🌈🔬
What an amazing week of exploring, experimenting, questioning and discovering! Our children have been busy making predictions, testing ideas and learning that science is all around us. 🧪✨
From sink or float experiments to fizzy rainbow reactions, our little scientists have had so much fun investigating how and why things happen. 🫧🌈
A huge thank you to our educators for creating such engaging experiences and to our curious children for embracing every experiment with wonder and excitement! 💡❤️
Science Week may be over, but the questions, discoveries and learning continue every day! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬✨

🌈 Fizzy Rainbow Science! 🧪
Our toddlers had a colourful and exciting time exploring fizzy rainbow science! With lots of curiosity, the children watched as colourful mixtures bubbled and fizzed, making predictions and noticing changes as they experimented.
This hands-on experience encouraged sensory exploration, curiosity, cause and effect, and early scientific thinking, supporting EYLF Outcome 4 – Children are confident and involved learners.

How many bears will sink the boat? 💧🔬
With Miss Vera, our Kindy children became little scientists as they explored a fun sink or float experiment! The children made predictions, tested how many little bears could float in the boat and observed the results. They shared their ideas and compared their findings.
This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, problem-solving, critical thinking and scientific inquiry, supporting EYLF Outcome 4 – Children are confident and involved learners.

Our Kindy children have been getting creative with recycled materials, turning everyday items into wonderful works of art! ♻️🎨 Through this open-ended experience, children explored their imagination, developed fine motor skills, experimented with different textures and materials, and discovered that creativity can give new life to things that might otherwise be thrown away. 🌱✨
