The first Pre-Kindy in the Peel region established 25 years ago. We welcome children from 2.5years of age. Their time with us will be full, fun and happy.

We believe that children need a secure, safe, imaginative environment where they can extend their skills through the care and guidance of staff and parents working together. Children need to learn as individuals with a programme allowing them to develop at their own pace, increasing their self esteem and knowledge. Through the use of their senses and doing, they can develop their social/emotional,

cognitive, physical, language and creative skills. The environment will give them the chance to express, imagine, discover and think for themselves as individuals.

🔬🧪 Science Week at Small Friends! 🌈✨

We’ve had SO much fun getting messy and exploring this week! From exciting volcano experiments 🌋, mixing colours 🎨, making slime 🫧 and lots of hands-on science fun!

Our little scientists loved experimenting, making predictions and discovering what happens when we mix, pour and create! 🥰🔬

What a fun week of learning through play! 💕

🌱🧚‍♀️ Our Community Garden is Growing! 🧚‍♀️

We’ve been busy this morning getting our community garden started! 🌿🌸 The children had so much fun gardening and helping out in our fairy garden.

We’re excited to watch our little garden grow and see what we can create together! 🌱💚✨

🐍🦎 Wiggly Wagon Visit at Small Friends! 🐸🪱

We had the best time today with a very special visit from Ranger Jodie and the Wiggly Wagon! 🌿💚

The children enjoyed an interactive show where we got up close and hands on with some amazing creatures! We held snakes, frogs, bearded dragons, geckos, stick insects, worms and silkworms! 🐍🐸🦎🪱

We even dressed up as little rangers and had so much fun learning about and caring for these incredible creatures. 🧢🌿

🏅 Commonwealth Games fun at Small Friends! 🏃‍♀️🏀🤸

This week our little athletes enjoyed running races, long jump, basketball, gymnastics, and decorating their own medals. It was a fantastic week filled with fun, teamwork, and lots of smiles. Well done to all of our champions! 🥇💙

✨ Pyjama Week at Small Friends! 🧸💙

What a wonderful week we’ve had staying warm, cosy, and snuggly in our favourite pyjamas! Our little friends had so much fun learning, playing, and sharing lots of smiles while dressed in their comfy PJs.

🍋🍊 Sensory fun with citrus! 🍊🍋

This week our Small Friends explored a lemon-themed sensory tray filled with citrus slices, pipettes, and lots of opportunities for hands on discovery. The children loved squeezing, pouring, splashing, and investigating the different textures, scents, and colours while building their fine motor skills and curiosity.

After our sensory play, we used oranges to create some amazing fruit masterpieces! Using a picture for inspiration, the children carefully arranged orange slices and segments into their own creative designs, encouraging imagination, problem solving, and hand-eye coordination.

It was a fun-filled day of exploring, creating, and learning through play and the room smelt amazing too! 🍊✨
