Now that ‘big school’ has gone back it’s time to think about your preschooler. Lake Conjola FDC is the perfect choice with a dedicated school transition program to help children be ready for school next year. Lots of emphasis on independence, self help, language, social cooperation, letters and sounds, writing and drawing, art and craft and learning through child interest. We go on short local walks to practice road-sun-personal safety and learn about our community. The children also learn those special skills for school such as lunch box food choices, drinking water, appropriate clothes for the weather, and hygiene.

Lake Conjola Family Day Care is back for 2026 on Thursday and Friday 8am to 4pm. I have 2 places available for 3-5 year old children.
The government has removed the work/study requirements for Child Care Subsidy so more families will be eligible for fee felief.

Christmas is happening here at Lake Conjola FDC with the children doing all kinds of Christmas crafts and activities. Here’s just a few of our creations. And Elfie our Elf on the Shelf is up to all sorts of mischief.
And thanks to Paula a LC community member for the donations of equipment. The kids are already playing with them, they love getting goodies from you all.
Enrol now for Thursday Friday 2026 for preschool aged children.

Change of days
In 2026 Lake Conjola FDC will be open on Thursday and Friday from 8am to 4pm. There are 2 places available for children aged 3-5 years from Jan/Feb next year.
I am an Early Childhood Preschool Teacher with 40+ years of experience with school readiness skills.
Our program includes lots of activities and learning spaces that develop skills such as school readiness, social, language, music, art and craft, outdoor (sandpit, water, mud), gardening and most importantly self-help, independence and resilience.

Happy Halloween 🎃 to all the families and children. Thanks to my LC fdc kids for making the Halloween crafts and decorating our house, you did a great job. We had lots of trick or treaters with some dressed up so scary and some dressed up so cute. It was so nice to see you all in our LC community. Buddy was so excited waiting at our front door for you all. Enjoy your treats and have a great evening. 👻🎃👻

We had a visitor today. He dug out of his burrow hole to say hello. He’s now safe up in the bush. Amazing to see him digging out.

Thanks to our wonderful community neighbours who today dropped off bags of recycled goodies for us to use. The kids unpacked the bags and were amazed to see a single egg carton. Out came the scissors, sticky tape, straws, pipe cleaners and textas and tah-dah we have people.

Would your child like to join our Family Day Care group? I have a 3 day vacancy suitable for a 3-5 year old. Lots of social play, school readiness, art & craft, music, dancing, and outdoor gross motor. We have an indoor playroom plus a big outdoor space with sandpit, obstacle course, grass to run and a huge all-weather back deck. We go for local walks and have strong ties with our LC community.

The kids have been really interested in music and playing instruments and singing. Today we made a guitar, drums, microphones and flutes from recycled boxes and cardboard tubes. We sang some Beetles songs. ‘We all live in a Yellow Submarine’ was popular.
We are looking for some toy musical instruments especially guitars if anyone has any they don’t use anymore. Thanks heaps Patrice and the LCFDC kids
