Small group singing for children in Sherwood, Brisbane. Jirani means neighbourhood and we have choirs that are open to any children in the local area.
The choirs are split into ages and abilities. Each choir is run partly as a voice lesson for the children. Each lesson has games, aural training, vocal coaching, solos, different languages and finishes with a sticker. Founded in December 2013, Jirani Singers is a small organisation and concentrates on giving an individual learning experience to each child. The choirs are kept small and every stude

72 fish finally all cut out, ready for laminating and cutting again. They'll be fun to play with but a few more hours of prep to go first.

This week we are having short concerts in each class, to showcase our learning and share our favourite songs. The Mezzos and I choose the songs and we designed the program to best showcase each of our favourite songs.

Happy New Year everyone!!! I woke up this morning to read this exciting news. We've got a small change in our national anthem but it's a really big deal! I'm sure we can remember it. All the Jirani singers will get to practice the lyrics in class when we start back in February. See you all then.

Jirani Bear says well done to everyone at today's concert. It went so well; everyone sang confidently and musically, the breeze cooled us all down and the lake was a beautiful backdrop. We'll be able to share some great photos from the day with you all soon. Now it's time to rest, we all deserve it.

We're saying goodbye to one of our amazing senior singers next week. Eloise has been singing with us for 8 years and has grown up with her Jirani family. We are all going to miss you and wish you the best of luck next year at uni. 😁
