TSKF Wide Bay titles are 3 weeks away. Please advise if you are attending as nominations are now due.

This is a great weekend with 2 training sessions on the Saturday for all grades and competition on the Sunday.

This weekend is always a great opportunity to learn under our TSKFA 7th Dans and build your confidence in a warm and friendly competition environment.

TSKF Sherwood has been teaching traditional Shotokan Karate to the Sherwood and surrounding community for 15 years at the Sherwood State Primary School. Traditional Karate does not just teach students the punches, kicks and blocks of self-defence but discipline, respect, resilience and perseverance that it takes to navigate life. Congratulations to all TSKF Sherwood members who competed today Tskf Australia Nationals competition. Results from today's Black belt competition are as follows:

Susan 1st over 50s Black belt Kata
Elizabeth 2nd over 50s Black belt Kata
Declan 3rd open mens Black belt Kata, 3rd State team kumite
Caitlin 1st State team Kumite
Sherwood 3rd Black belt dojo team kata (Holly, Declan and Caitlin)

Holly and Caitlin competed in Open women's Kata and kumite and performed well against tough competition.

Trey our newest member competed in the 16 - 17 years boys Kata and kumite losing in elimination rounds.

Congratulations Team TSKF Sherwood members who competed at Tskf Australia Nationals today. Results were Lindsay Brown belt 1st Kata, 2nd kumite; Declan 18-21 Black belt 3rd Kata, 2nd kumite; Caitlin 18-21 Black belt 3rd Kata.

Tomorrow we have Elizabeth, Susan, Michelle, Holly, Declan, Caitlin and Trey competing in Black belt events.

Tskf Australia Nationals 2026. 16 members from TSKF Sherwood were in attendance at the Nationals 3 day seminar. Well done to all. Missing from the photograph are Trey, Michelle, Olivia and Lachlan.

Oss TSKF Sherwood members. Only 6 weeks to Nationals. This will be a fantastic week of training and camaraderie. Located on the Sunshine coast it is only a short trip north to the beaches.

Please let Susan Sempai know your intentions. She will have nomination forms ready this week. Much effort is being made to ensure this is a great event with instructors Takahashi Shihan, Nemoto Sensei, Hirata Sensei and Tobita Sensei coming from Japan to provide excellent instruction.
