Going through some older photos of our fighters and had a play with AI

We have had some very dedicated and talented fighters to come from this gym. Very proud of all of them, they all trained so hard, and the ultimate payoff being a title holder. Not only did they win a title, but they all successfully defended their titles, proving why they were at the top of their weight categories at the time.

We had a bit of a break with fighter, but the last couple of years we have been building it up again. Who might our next champion be?

Don’t forgot tomorrow is a public holidays so classes won’t be on. See you all after the long-weekend on Tuesday, hope you’re all rested 😊

Matt was up first against a fighter from Morakot Muaythai and did really well, great hands and backed the other lad up each round. Lost on a split points decision unfortunately.

Josh was up second against a fighter Sukhari Muaythai, and started the fight with great technique, timing and some really good scoring shots. Fight was stopped in the second round after copping a hard knee to the face.

Beau was up last, and fought a tough, composed fighter from Absolute MMA. Beau did really well with some nice displays of Muaythai, including giving his opponent an 8-count. Beau went on to take a comfortable unanimous win 🥇

We’re very proud of how they all went - they trained hard, and did their very best 👊🏼

“Same-same, but different”.

It was great to catchup with my trainer Tao 🙏🏼

I had a fight in Seymour against Trevor Loomes and my trainer couldn’t make it. After the fight Tao kindly offered a place to train with the Sor.Jaiphet team in Richmond. So began a chapter of me going down training Monday night, staying at Tao’s the night, and training Tuesday morning and then heading back to Shepp. I did the same again on Wednesday and then on the weekend for a few years. Training with so many great fighters and people has given me memories and friendships that have continued to this day.

I had many more fights with the Sor.Jaiphet team until I retired. Tao’s kindness, support, friendship and mentorship helped me in so many ways and I’ll be forever grateful 🙏🏼😌

Our last interclub sparring day is Saturday the 22nd November.

A great day with the focus on technique development and networking between gyms.
