The research is clear 📚 reading aloud is one of the most powerful things we can do for our children.

When we read with a child, we’re doing far more than sharing a story. We’re building the foundations for language, confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

Decades of research shows that children who are read to regularly:

Hearing rich varied language in books exposes children to far more words than everyday conversation alone. This growing vocabulary helps them understand, communicate and make sense of the world.

We have partnered with food share- Shepparton, they have partners with supermarkets, businesses, manufacturers, growers and other food rescue agencies to provide nutritious food. Food is stored accordingly to regulation guide lines to extend shelf life to provide nutritious food and prevent edible food entering landfill. It operates under a no fee service model. Along with the positive impact of providing food and reducing landfill by redirecting edible food from the waste stream. The social impact flows to the 30 volunteers that provides the majority of the hours required to operate. These volunteers benefit from and contribute to a sense of community resilience and connectedness and have the opportunity to gain pre employment and vocational skills.
