STUDENT TESTIMONIAL
What Shepparton ACE Secondary College means to me
by Year 12 student 2026
Start of Year Seven, I was nothing but shy, I was lost, not sure where my class was or where anything was. I cried, I was scared until I met Bronwyn who started to comfort me. She spoke to me like I was actually someone, she showed me the classroom and that’s how my life here started in this community.
I was afraid I was going to be bullied, but I wasn’t, I was respected in this small community built on trust and loyalty. I was able to start growing as a person and I started learning new things. I was so weirded out to call the teachers by their first names when I started, it was so odd, but now I’m able to do it without second guessing myself when I say their first names.
The help I’ve had over the years is amazing. I don’t regret coming here because I feel welcomed and safe, I love the community here and I will miss this community and all the teachers, as I’m now coming up to my last year. I’m now confident and very thankful for my friends I’ve found here and for the teachers who have helped and supported me for the six years I’ve been here growing.
ACE is the best school in Shepparton, maybe even Victoria, that might seem like my opinion but I’m sure a lot more people would agree with me in what I say. This school might be small, but their arms are open wide for new people to join our community built on respect.
Big hearts for a small school.
