Information for parents and carers
We have been notified that head lice have been detected within the junior year levels. To help us manage and limit the spread, we request that all parents check their child’s hair over the weekend.

What you need to do:
• Check your child's hair: Look closely at the scalp, behind the ears, and at the base of the neck.
• Use the conditioner method: Applying white hair conditioner to dry hair and combing through with a fine-toothed lice comb is the most effective way to spot lice and eggs.
• Treat immediately if found: If you find live lice or eggs, please begin an appropriate treatment straight away. Your local pharmacist can recommend effective lotions, rinses, or specialised combs.

According to Australian health guidelines, children with live head lice should not attend school until the day after appropriate treatment has started.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community healthy.

To the school community

Many of you would be aware that there is an orange Ford Territory regularly parking in front of the school at morning drop off times, afternoon pick-ups and some lunch times.

Students have reported that on one occasion that they believe the occupants have been taking photos of them during their lunch break.

We take our child safety responsibilities seriously, so please be advised that the school has taken action and reported these people to the police.

We ask that all parents and students to please keep away from the vehicle and do not engage with the occupants under any circumstances.

If you feel they might be taking photos of students, please report it to the school and the police immediately.

Regards,

Shepparton ACE Secondary College

I just wanted to say how amazing the concert was, ALL of the students were incredible, it truly gave the kids an opportunity to be creative and to be themselves, and for that I say thank you because far to often in the world today our young people aren't able to express creativity and enjoying all aspects of learning. It was wonderful to see the whole school coming together and supporting each other.

Thank you.
