With fly season here. Please if you use fly masks, look through it first yourself. As many of the ones made are for human desires, not horse comfort and safety.
The plain black ones are the clearest for horses to see through.

When a horse is acting in a negative way towards you, it is often because they have given up trying to tell something's wrong and are now shouting it at you.

Learn to listen to your horse if things aren’t going well, it's often pain related. If pain is ruled out then it's often the handling and lack of establishing the basics.

Horses are saints they put up with so much.

I enjoy working with lovely Buddy, who’s such a cool fellow.
I was picking up a manure, after a lesson and he said he’s happy waiting there for me to come back.
When you work with your horse and listen to them, then they too will work with you 😊

It’s going to be a nice and cooler weekend. So a great time to have a lesson. Let me know, as I have some spaces.

Buddy was in this morning for a ride by me. He’s had a nice break over summer. You wouldn’t know it, he went very well.

Due to the rising costs, I have unfortunately needed to increase my lesson prices. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I often see ads for horses or people looking for their next horse, saying no buck, bolt or rear. Any horse can start to do any of these, in the wrong hands.

Most common causes are pain whether previous injury not looked at, ill fitting gear, recent injury, a heavy handed rider, etc.

There are very few horses that do it the first time, just get you off. Unfortunately most people think this is the reason, so then continue to ride the horse only then teaching the horse it can benefit from behaving this way.

If only people learned to look at the subtle things. Like not wanting to be caught, moving while being saddled or bridled, walking off while mounting, etc.

All horses talk to us, it's up to you to listen.

It’s been a busy week last week, bringing all the rolls of hay over. I’m very happy with the hay and the horses are all enjoying it.
