Returning to work on Wednesday the 28th for my last week at Wise Wombats 😭

It's been an emotional week this week sending off some of my daycare kiddies and families who i've been so lucky to have in my ww family since 2018 and even before that, feeling overwhelmed with the love and support they've all shown me over the years, wise wombats wouldn't be what it is without you all.

Hi everyone 👋🏽

A bit of a long post ahead.

As some of you are aware, I am sadly finishing here at Wise Wombats FDC at the end of this year, and have decided to take a little adult gap year and move to Japan early 2023.

My sister Renee (Nay nay) will be starting her own business in place of Wise Wombats *Little Moo Moos FDC* and I am so excited for her, as I believe Renee will do an amazing job as an Educator. Renee has been working in childcare for nearly two years her creative and nurturing nature brings ease that the children are in great hands.

As of 2023 there will be no availability for the months of Jan/Feb with a possibility of available vacancies from there on but at this stage Nay Nay is FULLY BOOKED!

I will get around to messaging those who have messaged in regard to care for 2023 but cannot thank you all for the support from the beginning of 2018 when WW first opened. I have had the pleasure of caring for such amazing children, i have built a strong bond with children and families over the years. I had families who stuck with me through the pandemic and supported one another in hard times and I hope this continues on as I move foward. I love the community I live in. I get a tad emotional when I think about leaving but know all will be well.

Hi everyone 👋🏼

I do apologise to everyone whom I have not responded to. I have just come across my inbox and messages that need needed to be confirmed before opening. I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to these things 😂

At this stage I still have NO vacancies available. When a spot becomes available I will message those families within my service first for first priority. I will then make contact with those within the waiting list for care if anything becomes available if spots are not taken within the current families in my service 😀

Shrove Tuesday 🥞🥞

A whole lotta love and laughs with my Monday crew this V/DAY 😍

We had a play date with .turtlesfdc and some stories I love you, this much and Max & Tallulah. We did some stamp painting and had a really cool love music playlist to lighten our day ⚘

I've heard of so many cases where people say it's wrong to say (I love you) to the daycare children, but it's something I do. When they're off to bed ill always say "goodnight, kiri loves yas" or if they say it, I say it back. I will never force the kids to say they love me, it's totally their decision if they say so, but ill ALWAYS let them know, Kiri loves em ☺

I think of it as a home away from home. My Dad once said it's what you bring into the home, that makes a home. And I like to think my house is always a place where my own family, friends and my FDC children and families feel welcome and loved when they come here. Wether it's for a cuppa tea, a chat or a place where you can feel comfort away from home.
