NALA
Building works are well underway across our school, and this term we were thrilled to open up some of our fresh, brand-new spaces!
Our Year 1 students are happily settling into their beautiful new classrooms, while updates to our main office and staff areas are also coming along nicely. The next stage of construction will feature new classrooms on the upper levels of the school! 📚🏫
Even Nala has officially claimed her new "safe space" inside the updated office area. She has settled in so quickly and is already making herself right at home! 🐾💙

FEAST DAY⛪
On Friday 14th August, the school community came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. The day began with a Whole School Mass featuring the school choir and a liturgical dance by Year 6. Students then joined mixed K-6 groups for chosen activities, followed by a family picnic lunch on the school grounds. The event concluded with an assembly where Year 2 students presented their learning.

The Mini Vinnies Team at Stella Maris meets regularly to brainstorm and plan meaningful ways to support those in need across our local community. Their dedication to making a positive difference is truly inspiring! 🌟
At their last meeting, these hard-working student leaders received a very special reward—a visit from Nala! 🐶❤️ She stopped by to offer some moral support (and receive plenty of well-deserved pats from the team).
A huge thank you to Mrs Clori and Mrs Thompson for leading, guiding, and inspiring these wonderful students every step of the way! 💙

ATHLETICS
Earlier this week, 40 students from Years 2–6 attended the South Coast Athletics Championships at Beaton Park. Our students competed in a range of track and field events throughout the day, giving their very best in every race and event.
A special thank you to the students who stepped in for others who were injured or away — your school spirit was greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to Eden, who broke his own discus record from last year and placed 2nd overall for Junior Age Champion.
