Taller and stacked cakes are a totally different ball game compared to smaller single tiers.

They need proper support and structure if they are to stay standing tall and survive delivery without leaning over or collapsing altogether.

I put together the top 5 steps I take (plus a bonus one!) inside this great resource for you.

If you’re about to make a stacked cake or have been too scared to try, you’re going to love this 👇

Imagine scraping perfectly good buttercream into the bin every time you practise. 🫠

Couldn’t be me. 😂

Wipe it off. Load the bag. Go again.

Your buttercream gets another life, and you get another chance to nail that piping technique WITHOUT sacrificing a cake.

👉 Comment TEMPLATE if you want to know how to practise smarter. 👇

P.S. SHARE this with the baker who needs to stop practising on actual cakes! 🎂

Ganache needs time to rest to give it structure to set firm.

Then you can use it to get straight sides and sharp edges.

The moral of the story:

Do NOT rush the process.

Everyone wants to get straight into the decorating but setting your cake up properly from the start is the best thing you can do.

👀 The secret to professional-looking buttercream piping isn’t necessarily the piping tip…

It’s what your hands are doing BEFORE that buttercream even touches the cake. 🎂

You can have the same piping nozzle as a professional cake decorator and still get completely different results.

Why?

Because beautiful piping comes down to mastering four things:

✨ Pressure
✨ Buttercream consistency
✨ Piping angle
✨ Movement

And the good news? You don’t need to spend a fortune on equipment to improve your piping.

You need to know WHAT to practise, HOW to practise it and which piping nozzles will help you develop those skills.

That’s exactly why I created my Piping Practice Pack — to help you practise with purpose instead of guessing what to work on next. 🤍

👇 Tell me honestly… what’s the hardest part of piping for you?

Getting consistent pressure, achieving the right buttercream consistency, holding the correct angle, or getting your movements right?

I’d love to know what you’re struggling with most!

🎂 Want a more structured way to practise?
