Our Library has been a hive of activity this week. Mrs Longson transformed our space into a spectacle of all things books and music. We've had a Where's Wally Hunt, Colouring In Competition, Decorated Door Competition, and a Competiton to win one of the Children's Book Council of Australia winning books. Tomorrow is our parade and we can't wait to see our school filled with amazing characters. Remember to ensure sun safe costumes and shoes and spectators bring some shade!

🏏 We’ve been incredibly lucky to have Queensland Cricket offer our girls a FREE 4-week after-school cricket program, which wrapped up today!

It has been such a fantastic opportunity to get more of our girls involved in cricket and, most importantly, having fun!

What a fantastic day at the Interschool Athletics Carnival! 💙💛

Our students ran, jumped and threw with absolute determination, representing St Benedict’s with pride from start to finish.

A huge congratulations to our boys, who finished 3rd in the aggregate, and to our whole St Benedict’s team, who placed 4th overall for the day. An incredible achievement!

Our team also brought home an impressive number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes, and we are thrilled that four of our students have been selected to trial for the North Queensland Athletics Team. What an outstanding accomplishment!

While we’re incredibly proud of the results, what stood out most was the way our students supported one another. They cheered each other on, celebrated each other’s successes, and encouraged teammates when events didn’t go as planned. We are so proud!

💜 "All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ." St Benedict.
👋 Yesterday, we welcomed members from Townsville Catholic Education Office, the Non State Schools Accreditation Board, and other principals from Catholic Schools as part of our 5 year renewal process.
🙌 Our visitors have spent time talking with various staff members, parents, parish members, and students, as well as walking through classrooms, in an effort to verify our school priorities for the next 5 years 🎉
🌟 We look forward to sharing our new priorities with you in the future!
