A little piping, plenty of laughter and a very delicious reward! 👩‍🍳😍

Our teachers got hands-on in The Ville’s pastry kitchen for a macaron and whipped ganache masterclass as part of our recent Teacher PD experience.

There was plenty of fun as everyone tried their hand at the techniques, shared the experience with fellow teachers and, of course, taste-tested their creations. Those macarons tasted every bit as good as they looked! 🍫✨

Experiences like this give teachers fresh skills, ideas and inspiration to bring back to their own classrooms. And the sweet treats certainly help! 💙

Our annual trip to The Ville Resort-Casino served up two jam-packed days of hands-on learning, networking and, of course, plenty of food! 😍

We kicked things off with a behind-the-scenes tour before heading into the pastry kitchen for a masterclass in macarons and whipped ganache. A pretty sweet start to PD! 👩‍🍳🍫

After lunch at The Quarterdeck, our teachers headed into shift placements across reception, housekeeping, events, bars and other hospitality departments, experiencing firsthand how each team keeps The Ville running.

Dinner at Miss Songs gave everyone a chance to reconnect and swap stories. We were so keen to dig in that we forgot the photos! 😂📸

Friday began with a buffet breakfast at Palm House before we explored ARDO, taking in its signature fragrance, stunning views and thoughtful touches. Then it was back into uniform for another shift placement and more practical industry experience.

We finished with a late lunch and a recap of everything we’d learnt, with plenty of ideas to take back to the classroom. 👩‍🏫💡

We’ve been working on something behind the scenes, and sharing it with a room full of teachers was a pretty special moment! 💙👏

At the VETQI Conference in Brisbane, our GM, Michelle, took the stage to help unveil Blueprint’s new Semester Planner. Seeing it introduced to the people it was designed to support was a highlight for our team!

The day also brought opportunities to connect with fellow VET professionals, hear sector updates and explore fresh ideas. Sessions on AI sparked plenty of thought about how we design, write and deliver assessment, and what those possibilities could mean for VET.

We left with plenty to reflect on and a real sense of pride in the work our team is doing. Thank you to everyone who connected with us throughout the day! 🙌
