🌈 Volunteer at the KPSS ColourBlast Fun Run!

It takes an amazing team of volunteers to bring ColourBlast to life and we need your help!

On Friday 11 September 2026, hundreds of KPSS kids will take on a course packed with fun obstacles, colour, foam and slime, and our volunteers will be right in the middle of the action.

Choose the zone that suits you best and join one of our ColourBlast crews, including our Colour Crew, Foam Force, Slime Squad, Track Marshalls, Wet n Wild Warriors and Pit Stop Pals.

Whether you're spraying colour, operating a foam cannon, helping students through an obstacle, getting messy in the slime pit or providing a friendly face in our Low Sensory Pit Stop, every role helps us create a fun, inclusive and safe event for our students.

💙 Blue Card Requirement
All volunteers must provide their current Blue Card details to Rebecca at the school reception before volunteering at ColourBlast. Please organise this ahead of event day so the school has time to complete the required checks.

🎓 Mandatory Volunteer Training
To make sure everyone understands their role and our event safety procedures, all ColourBlast volunteers must complete pre-event training.

🌈 WELCOME BACK, MINDY! 💥

We’re excited to announce Councillor Mindy Russell – Division 3, Logan City Council as an Event Partner of the KPSS 2026 ColourBlast Fun Run!

Mindy is a fantastic supporter of Kimberley Park State School and continues to get behind our P&C events and our school community. We’re very grateful to have her support again as we raise funds for playground improvements at KPSS.

And Mindy isn’t just sponsoring from the sidelines… 👀

We get everyone is busy these days but registering ASAP will really help us volunteers out.

There is NO ON-THE-DAY REGISTRATION for ColourBlast. If your child is coming, we need to know now!

And there’s another very good reason not to leave it too late…

😎 We have 500 ColourBlast sunglasses ordered based on attendance at previous events.

🏫 We have 680 students at KPSS.

You do the maths. 😬

If registrations go nuts the night before the event, we cannot guarantee sunglasses for late registrations and you need the sunnies to participate. So please don’t wait until the last minute and assume there’ll be a pair waiting.

Thanks to our incredible KPSS families and supporters, we have officially smashed through $15,000 raised!

That means FOAM CANNONS are coming to ColourBlast! 🎉

A massive THANK YOU to every student who has been fundraising and every family member, friend and supporter who has donated. You made this happen! But we’re not finished yet…

💚 NEXT GOAL: $20,000 = SLIME UNLOCKED!

Keep sharing those fundraising links and let’s see if we can add the SLIME PIT to our ColourBlast course!

And remember, every dollar raised goes towards playground improvements across KPSS. We’re having a lot of fun getting there, but that’s what this is really about, creating better play spaces for our kids.

The KPSS kids have spoken… and they are VERY keen to unlock the FOAM CANNONS! 😂

We’ve now raised an incredible $13,941 for playground improvements which means we’re just over $1,000 away from our $15K FOAM CANNON target!
