At First Foundation Preschool, we understand the importance of sun safety for our little learners, and we’re committed to ensuring they stay protected during outdoor activities all year round. Even when it’s not sunny, UV rays can still cause damage, so applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen generously about 20 minutes before children head outside is a vital step. Remember to reapply every two hours, especially if children are running, playing, or sweating.

In addition to sunscreen, dressing children in protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses provides an extra layer of protection from harmful UV rays. Encouraging outdoor play while prioritizing sun safety helps children develop healthy habits and enjoy their time outside confidently and safely.

This week was Insect Week for our First Foundation Preschoolers, and what an exciting and inspiring week it has been! The children dove into the fascinating world of insects with so much enthusiasm and curiosity. They listened attentively to stories like "The Hungry Little Caterpillar," which sparked their imaginations and helped them learn about different bugs and their habitats.

Throughout the week, the children engaged in a variety of hands-on activities, including insect play, drawing pictures of their favorite insects, and practicing their counting skills with fun dot-to-dot number puzzles. They also explored insect toys and used magnifying glasses to observe insects closely, which really brought their learning to life.

One of the highlights was their creative artwork, where they used their imagination to draw and color vibrant insects, showcasing their growing artistic skills. The children also enjoyed singing insect-themed songs, moving and dancing along to the rhythm.

It’s incredible to see how much they learned and how eager they were to explore, ask questions, and share their ideas. This week has truly been a wonderful journey of discovery, creativity, and fun for our little scientists. We’re so proud of their curiosity and enthusiasm, and we look forward to more exciting learning adventures ahead!

This week at First Foundation Preschool, we are celebrating Nature Week! Our babies and preschoolers are excitedly exploring the beauty of the natural world around them 🌻🦋. From discovering different plants and insects to observing the changing seasons, they are developing a love for nature and a sense of curiosity about their environment.

We also reflected on our Ocean Week activities from last week, where the children learned about the incredible oceans and marine life 🐠🌊. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm grow as they connect their learning about land and sea, fostering a deeper appreciation for our planet. Watching them engage, ask questions, and share their thoughts has been truly inspiring.

This week, our children are diving into the exciting world of the ocean! 🌊🐠 We’ve been exploring fascinating sea creatures, learning about their habitats, and discovering how we can help protect our oceans. The kids have shown so much curiosity and enthusiasm as they engaged in hands-on activities, stories, and discussions about the amazing life beneath the waves. It’s been wonderful to see their eyes light up with wonder and to watch them develop a deeper understanding of the environment around them. Ocean Week has truly been a fantastic opportunity for our little learners to connect with nature and develop an appreciation for our planet’s precious ecosystems.❤️

This past week has been truly magical at First Foundation Preschool! ✨🌈 We spent five wonderful days exploring five different ways of learning, each filled with joy, discovery, and growth.

From the vibrant colours 🎨 and creative art activities to engaging number games 🔢 and early math concepts, our little learners embraced each new challenge with enthusiasm. They also enjoyed teamwork 🤝, storytelling 📖, music 🎶, and outdoor adventures 🌳 that helped develop their social skills and confidence.

It’s inspiring to see how much they grow and learn through play, curiosity, and exploration. Every day brought new opportunities for them to shine ✨ and discover the world around them. We’re so proud of our tiny explorers and excited for more fun-filled learning adventures ahead!

Celebrating Reconciliation Week with our little ones throughout the week! 🌏✨ We’ve been learning about Aboriginal culture, singing songs, exploring artwork, and fostering respect and understanding. The children enjoyed discovering the vibrant Aboriginal colours like ochre, red, yellow, and black, and their curiosity and kindness continue to grow each day! 💙🖼️🟡🟥🟤🟡
