Come along
Do you find it hard to give yourself permission to rest?
Like really stop. Stop rushing. Stop doing.
Stop ticking things off a never-ending list.
To eat mindfully. To sit quietly. To finish something and not immediately rush to the next task.
I'm personally not that great at this. I generally run around like a blue-nosed gopher until finally collapsing in a heap at the end of yet another long day.
In the same way that I'm better at exercising if I book myself into a class at the gym rather than simply doing it at any old time of the day at home, alone, I've learnt that I'm also WAY better at resting and relaxing when I pre-book a yoga class, or a massage, or acupuncture etc.
I pretty much never get on a massage or acupuncture table without falling asleep for part of the session, or lay down for Savasna at the end of a yoga class without drifting off.
The ideal is, of course, to be able to bring some of that deep relaxation and rest into my daily life, in my own home. Meanwhile, I'll keep booking myself in for sessions that encourage me to rest, because I know I need it.
3 tickets left and only 3 days left of the Early Bird Sale to our upcoming Personal Reset Urban Retreat at Think.Focus.Act with the divine Yoga with Lucy Liga if resting is something you know will do you some good. Not just in that moment either, but into future practices you'll be able to incorporate into your daily life after pressing the pause button and exploring where you're currently spending your time and energy.
