On Tuesday we send our 6 lucky students and Mr Forrester off to Somers camp, and then Ms Kellie, Cassandra and the Sebastopol Primary School choir perform at the Royal South Street competition on Friday.

🌟💛 What a bright way to celebrate 100 days of learning! 💛🌟
Our amazing Foundation students wrapped up their 100 Days Brighter celebrations with a special visit from their Year 6 buddies. Together, they shared and recorded 100 things they love about school before getting creative decorating delicious biscuits with hundreds and thousands! 🍪✨

A huge thank you to Mrs Lawes for organising such a fun-filled day and making it so special for our little people. Here's to 100 days of learning, laughter, and growing together! 🎉💯

Today marks a very special milestone for our Foundation students as they celebrate 100 Days of School! 🌟

For 100 days, our newest learners have been growing, learning, laughing and becoming valued members of the Sebastopol Primary School community. They truly are 100 days brighter, and we feel so lucky to have shared these first 100 days with them.

The celebrations got off to a fantastic start this morning with Mrs Lawes hosting a disco, while Pevan & Sarah helped make the morning even more memorable by singing a special song for our students.

With plenty more fun activities planned throughout the day, it's sure to be a celebration they'll remember for years to come.

Congratulations to all of our amazing Foundation students on reaching this exciting milestone! 💛🎉

🎉 Welcome to Week 3!

We're excited to begin our new class structure tomorrow as we move from five to seven classrooms. Last week, Miss H and Mr Smith were busy preparing and are ready to welcome students into their very first classrooms as graduate teachers. We wish them all the best!

Don't forget, the Cosmodome Incursion is happening this week. If you haven't completed your child's permission on Compass, please do so ASAP. Thank you to Mr Forrester for organising this exciting opportunity.

A message from our Principal

Industrial Action Update - Communications for Parents and Carers
Dear Parents and Carers,

The Australian Education Union (AEU) has called on its members to take protected industrial action on Thursday 23 July 2026.

Based on the information available to me, 15 members of our staff will be participating in the strike action. As a result, Sebastopol Primary School will be significantly impacted.

As a consequence:
Students in Prep, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 are not required to attend school on Thursday 23 July 2026.
Students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 can attend school, however a modified timetable will be in operation due to the reduced number of teaching staff available. While students will be supervised throughout the day, a normal teaching and learning program may not be possible.

To assist us with planning, we ask that families of students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 notify the school of their intention for their child to attend on Thursday 23 July. This information will help us understand the likely number of students requiring supervision and ensure we can plan appropriately.

If your child in Grades 4, 5 or 6 will be attending school on Thursday 23 July, please indicate this via the Compass Event by 12:00 pm on Wednesday 22 July 2026.
