Throughout Book Week, along with the Book Fair our school will be celebrating with a variety of exciting classroom activities designed to inspire a love of reading and storytelling.

On Thursday 27 August, we will be holding our special Book Week Dress-Up Day. Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and take part in a whole-school costume parade, where everyone will have the opportunity to admire each other's creative costumes. Following the parade, students will participate in a range of fun, book-themed rotation activities to continue the celebration.

We look forward to seeing you in your costumes, please note we do request no masks to be worn.

On Friday, August 14th we held a Robot Soccer Tournaent and it was an absolute success! Students in Grades 4–6 worked hard behind the scenes to assemble the robots, write the code, and set up the pitch before bringing the main event to life during recess and lunchtime. Audience members watched in excitement as student pilots skillfully controlled their coded robots in a series of fast-paced matches. A huge thank you to the students for their dedication and hard work in making the event possible. Special thanks also to all the enthusiastic supporters who gave up their break time to come along and cheer on the teams!

Tomorrow, Thursday the 20th of August, our school will be recognising Daffodil Day in support of those affected by cancer and in remembrance of loved ones within our school community.

Students are encouraged to wear a touch of yellow—such as yellow socks, a headband, ribbon, or scarf—to show their support. We also invite students to bring a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.

Thank you for helping us support this important cause and make a positive difference.

This week, our school will be taking part in Kids Helpline’s Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson. 💙

At some point throughout the week, students will watch the lesson and have the opportunity to learn more about kindness, respect, and standing up against bullying.

We encourage you to ask your child about what they learned and continue the conversation at home.
