Tiny hands explored cool, creamy textures, swirling colours, making marks, and expressing themselves through playful movement 🎨

Sensory exploration for the Nursery children!

The Nursery children children have been exploring sensory trays as they scooped, mixed and poured chia seeds and oats.

🖤💛❤️ Celebrating NAIDOC Week ❤️💛🖤

This week, our Junior Kindy children celebrated NAIDOC Week by exploring and appreciating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through meaningful learning experiences.

The children watched a short video showcasing the fascinating tradition of Emu egg blowing, followed by a child-friendly introduction to NAIDOC Week – 50 Years of Deadly.

As the calming sounds of the didgeridoo filled our learning space, they were inspired by Aboriginal art and created their own beautiful dot paintings on fabric using the symbolic colours of the Aboriginal Flag: red, black, and yellow.

We explored red sand and leaf threading to connect with the land and nature.

Through threading, weaving and fabric printing with natural leaves, the children have been strengthening their fine motor skills while expressing their creativity and curiosity.
