Dear parents and care givers,

Given these uncertain and stressful times I wanted to reach out to all of you personally.

I want to re-assure you that all our staff and educators are following all advice provided by NSW Health, Dept of Ed and State and Federal Governments.

We are taking every precaution to keep your children and our own families safe and protected. We are in the unique position in Family Day Care that we are small groups and this will help us to stay safe. We have cancelled all excursions and incursions. We are asking families to drop children at the door and not enter the day care premises. All coordination visits are now via Zoom or FaceTime to further reduce exposure.

If your work has been affected by this crisis financial assistance is available to keep your children in care. If you speak to Centrelink you can ask for ACCS temp financial hardship which will cover most (if not all) of your fees for up to 13 weeks. This will ensure you can hold your spot and continue in care, whilst also ensuring your wonderful educator is still receiving an income.

If you decide to keep your child home though wish to keep your spot, the govt has extended the amount of absences you can have from care and still receive CCS. You will still need to pay the gap (unless eligible for ACCS).

If you decide to withdraw your child please ensure you give two weeks notice and most importantly attend on the last day (even if you just sign in and Out) to ensure you receive CCS.

Some Educators also have the capacity to take on school aged children who you have decided to pull out of school. If this is something you may need please speak to your educator.

Again, I just want to stress that we are taking every precaution to keep your little ones safe. They are in our homes, and like part of our own families. We hope you stand by us and continue to send your children so they can continue to have a normal ‘routine’ in these confusing times. Please speak to your Educator if you have any concerns.
