🌟 **Regional Public Speaking Success!** 🌟

Yesterday, our talented public speaking finalists represented our school at the Regional Public Speaking Competition in Singleton.

Students were challenged to receive their prepared speech topic in the morning and then had a set amount of time to carefully plan, write and practise before presenting to an audience and adjudicators. Stage 2 and Stage 3 students also tackled an additional challenge, with just 10 minutes to prepare and deliver a speech on an impromptu topic.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their confidence, resilience and outstanding speaking skills. They embraced the challenge, represented our school with pride and showcased their ability to think critically and communicate effectively under pressure.

Congratulations to all of our competitors on their wonderful achievements.

Year 4 have had an incredibly busy and exciting week! Our overnight excursion was a wonderful experience, giving students the opportunity to build friendships, develop independence and create lasting memories in Dubbo!
Back in the classroom, we have been hard at work painting our backdrop in preparation for Drama Night. Students have also enjoyed a range of engaging STEM activities, including building marshmallow towers, designing and testing boats, and using the green screen to create their own advertisements.
In Creative Arts, we explored the work of Claude Monet and created some beautiful artworks inspired by his unique style. Today, we were fortunate to visit Scone Library to celebrate Book Week, where students enjoyed participating in a variety of literary activities. We have also continued our buddy reading sessions during Mercy Minutes, sharing stories and fostering a love of reading with our younger peers.
It has been a fantastic week of learning, creativity and collaboration in Year 4!
