To celebrate World Environment Day our Year 6 students took part in a community tree planting project at Deanmore Square. Our students used a mixture of hard work and teamwork to plant a new generation of trees which will provide shade, clean air and a home for birds and other animals into the future. Each group named their trees and made some creative clay creatures to enhance them until some real ones come along. Thanks for including us in this great experience!

Today as part of Reconciliation Week our students participated in a Whole School Reconciliation Walk. Approximately 300 staff, students and community members joined in the 1.14km walk, replicating the distance done 25 years ago when 250,000 people walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for reconciliation. Walking together today was a way to show that we care and want to learn from our past as we walk towards a future where everyone feels included and respected.
