Waimea 2026 SRC have joined the b kinder foundation. The whole school helped us create a rainbow with their hands and we proudly displayed this in our GP room to launch our connection with this foundation.

Key principles of the foundation are:

Students are empowered to lead by example, using kindness to inspire those around them. By modelling positive behaviours, they help cultivate empathy, compassion, resilience, and confidence throughout the school community.

Students are encouraged to turn their ideas into meaningful action, taking ownership of initiatives that positively influence their whole school community.

Congratulations to our two Maths Relays team who very proudly represented Waimea Heights on Sunday at the southern competition.

Our students displayed amazing maths skill and knowledge as well as communication, collaboration and thinking skills.

Our Waimea B Team took our 2nd place in the first heat and Waimea A placed 9th. An absolutely fantastic achievement and recognition of their team work and personal math skill.

Thank you Andrew Court for your work with the Tasmanian Maths Association and providing these opportunities for students across our state.
