πŸπŸ”· Did you know? A beehive is a natural example of tessellation.

A tessellation is a pattern of shapes that fit together perfectly with no gaps and no overlaps and one of the best examples of this in nature is the honeycomb inside a beehive.

Bees build their hives using repeating hexagons, creating a pattern that is not only beautiful, but also strong, efficient, and clever.

It is a wonderful reminder that maths can be found all around us even in the work of tiny bees.

Some of the most powerful things in life cannot always be seen, only felt.
The wind moves through the world with quiet strength, and a smile has the power to lift, encourage, and brighten the people around us. Both remind us that even the simplest things can make a meaningful impact.

Today, we celebrate the little things that bring movement, joy, and light into each day from the breeze on the playground to the smiles shared in the classroom.
Because sometimes, the gentlest things carry the greatest power. πŸ’™

Did you know? πŸ‘‚
A child can have normal hearing, but still struggle to process and make sense of what they hear.
This is called auditory processing, and it can make following instructions, learning in the classroom, and remembering spoken information much more difficult.

At Lizzie’s Lingo @ Kip, we offer supportive therapy to help children strengthen these skills and grow in confidence in everyday learning. πŸ’™

πŸŒπŸ’š When children learn to care for nature, they help shape a better future.
World Environment Day reminds us that the health of our planet depends on the choices we make every day.

From the trees that shelter us to the water that sustains us and the air we breathe, every part of our environment matters. When we teach children to value and respect the natural world, we help grow a generation that is more aware, responsible, and hopeful.

We believe environmental care begins with everyday learning, everyday choices, and everyday action.
Because protecting the earth starts with how we live on it. 🌿

What are we reading Upstairs@kip for World Environmental Day? Let's us always stay connected to the space we live in. Our first learning as children is based on our relationships with our immediate carers and our space. This learning is exploratory, spontaneous and sensory rich: the best, natural learning. Tap into this. Go outside today (just hang on to one another as it is SO BLOWY!). Read about the environment, watch anything produced by David Attenborough, draw about the space you live in.
